This Bid is being issued by the Philadelphia Parking Authority (the “Authority”).  The Authority intends to contract with a single prime electrical contractor to provide all necessary equipment and labor to replace the lights in three center city garages with efficient LED fixtures.

2017 Medallion Taxicab Annual Informational Filing

NOTICE TO ALL MEDALLION TAXICAB COMPANIES:

Attached (TX-1 Medallion CPC Renewal Form FY 2017) is the Medallion Taxicab Certificate Annual Information Filing Form “Medallion Renewal TX-1” for the 2017 Fiscal Year that must be filed by all medallion taxicab certificate holders no later than February 15, 2016.

The Medallion Taxicab Certificate Annual Information Filing TX-1 form must be completely filled out or it will not be accepted for submission. For example, if only one person holds the office of President, Secretary, and Treasurer, that person’s information must be provided in all three places on the application. In addition, if a Certificate Holder does not know its CPC number, please request this information by e-mailing the Administration Department at TLDAdmin@philapark.org, and it will be provided to you.

As you are already aware, in addition to all other information outlined in this form, you are also required to file the following documentation at the same time as the TX-1 submission. Once again, incomplete filings will not be accepted.

1.) A copy of a state-issued photo ID for each person listed in the application.

2.) A Certified state-issued Criminal History Report-issued within 30 days of filing the application-from every state in which each shareholder, officer, member, key employee or anyone else with controlling interest has resided within the last 5 years.

Information for obtaining a certified state-issued criminal history report from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Delaware is as follows (for all other states, please consult with its respective state police agency):

Please note that the annual information filing process includes a thorough review of ensuring that all certificate holders are in compliance with payment of outstanding fines, fees, penalties, and other payments due to the Authority, along with remaining current on the payment of parking violations. Additionally, the review will also include verifying that each person with controlling interest, shareholder, corporate officer, member, director, and key employee does not have any outstanding fines, fees, and/or penalties, and is remaining current on the payment of parking and moving violations, unless the violation is under appeal.

A signed 2017 Medallion Taxicab Certificate Annual Information Filing TX-1 Form along with all required supporting documentation may be filed electronically to TLDAdmin@philapark.org, or in person or via mail to:

After the TLD has completed reviewing the filing, the Certificate Holder will be contacted via e-mail at the address listed on the form with regards to whether any additional information is needed. All outstanding issues must be completed within 30 days of the date of that notice. Failure to comply with the annual information filing requirements may result in an investigation by the TLD Enforcement Department.

Unclaimed Vehicle Auction Canceled 1/23/16

Due to the impending snow storm, our unclaimed vehicle auction scheduled for 12 noon on Saturday, January 23  at 3201 North Delaware Avenue has been canceled. Additionally, all of our impoundment lots will be closed to the public if a snow emergency is put into effect.

Snow Emergency Parking Enforcement & Discounted Garage Parking Rate

PPA_Logo_FINAL_RDue to the snow emergency, which is set to begin at 9 p.m. tonight, January 22, meter and time limit violations will not be enforced. However, we will be enforcing all snow emergency and safety violations. Normal enforcement of parking violations will continue when the snow emergency is lifted. Vehicles illegally parked on snow emergency routes will be subject to ticketing and towing. If your vehicle has been relocated, please call 215-686-SNOW. 

Additionally, starting at 5 p.m. tonight, January 22 , we will be offering 24 hour $5 flat rate parking at the following Center City garages. The $5 snow rate will remain in effect until the snow emergency is lifted.

Note: To receive the discounted $5 rate, customers must bring their ticket and pay at the PPA Management Office in each garage.

Unclaimed Vehicle Auction Cancellation:

Due to the current snow emergency, the 24 hour $5 flat rate to park in our Center City garages has been extended to 7 AM  Tuesday, January 26. 

To be eligible for the $5 flat rate, vehicles must enter the below garages by midnight tomorrow, January 25.

Note: To receive the discounted $5 rate, customers must bring their ticket and pay at the PPA Management Office in each garage.

Due to the ongoing clean up, we WILL NOT  be enforcing meter , kiosk or time limit parking violations today or Tuesday, January 26. We will continue to ticket and enforce all safety violations. PPA: NO Meter & Kiosk Parking Enforcement for Monday – January 25th
(PHILADELPHIA) –  In response to the on-going clean up in the aftermath of the recent snow storm, the Philadelphia Parking Authority will not enforce meter and kiosk parking violations on Monday – January 25, 2016.
The PPA will enforce and ticket for all safety violations, including prohibition on parking in front of fire hydrants, bus zones, in no stopping anytime zones, handicapped parking spaces, as well as for double parking, blocking crosswalks and other similar safety violations.
The PPA has also extended its $5.00 discount garage parking rate until Tuesday morning – January 26, 2015 at 7:00 AM for all vehicles parked in one of their garages by 11:59 PM tonight.  Those garages include:

 

AutoPark at Independence Mall (5th & Market Streets)

AutoPark at Jefferson (10th & Ludlow Streets)

AutoPark at the Gallery (10th & Filbert Streets)

Auto Park at Old City (2nd & Sansom Streets)

Update: Meter & Time Limit Enforcement to Resume 1/27/16

Beginning Wednesday, January 27, we will resume normal enforcement of meters and kiosks. However, due to the ongoing clean up in residential roadways, we WILL NOT be enforcing time limit violations in residential parking districts.

Additionally, we will resume normal booting and towing operations Wednesday, January 27.
