Philadelphia Parking Authority Executive Director Vince Fenerty today announced “relaxed kiosk parking enforcement for Sunday December 7, 2014 only, because of problems with wireless transmission of credit card payments at our kiosks.”

“All safety violations and single space meters will continue to be enforced city wide since neither is affected by credit card transmission issues,” Fenerty said.

“We want to apologize for any inconvenience caused by the failure of our kiosks to accept credit card payments. Be assured the PPA and its respective vendors are working as quickly as possible to correct what appears to be a glitch in the data transmission process,” he said.

“We hope to have the problem resolved quickly and will notify the public on the PPA’s website at www.philapark.org and via Facebook and Twitter when that occurs, but citizens who utilize kiosks should be prepared to pay cash on Monday if the problem persists,” Fenerty said.
